Carnations have a bad name because of petrol stations. These are the antique varieties, in peach and dusty cream, cut with ox-eye daisies and a lot of soft greenery.
Looking after them
- Trim two centimetres off each stem at an angle before they go in water.
- Change the water every other day and keep them out of direct sun.
- Take out anything that goes over so the rest last longer.
